What would you do in this situation? A teenage boy who was witnessing his young neighbor getting mauled by a pit bull sprang into action to save the young child. As shown in a video, a dog jumped on a 6 year old child knocking him to the ground. Other children playing in the vicinity fled to the safety of their homes; however, down the road a short distance was a young man who sprinted toward the dog, diverting the animals attention away from the boy in order that the young child could escape. By so acting, the pit bull sprinted at the teenager and ultimately chased him down. Fortunately for all parties, the injuries although painful do not appear serious and all are likely to recover. This is a reminder to all dog owners (pit bull or not) that dogs must be watched closely and not left to roam the neighborhoods. Liability for the actions of the dog can rests on dogs owner.
